Laboratories serve as crucial platforms for high school and undergraduate education, fostering skills in innovation and problem-solving. Experimental training instills creativity and efficiency, shaping individuals for innovative endeavors. Procedural understanding, encompassing the rationale behind experimental steps, enhances appreciation for scientific inquiry.
Traditionally, students receive detailed instructions, offering initial guidance in experimental procedures. However, limited involvement in experiment planning persists, hindering deeper understanding. To address this, we aim to introduce procedural understanding through online laboratories, enabling students to devise apparatus and procedures independently. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid19 pandemic, this initiative seeks to broaden access to experiential learning, empowering students to take ownership of their scientific inquiries.
